Glossary
heated

Heating honey is a common commercial process generally used to control the delay of granulation, combined with a fine straining or pressure filtration. Some consumers have the wrong idea that granulated (cristalized) honey means a product of lower quality. Granulation is part of the natural process of preservation. Edible honey found in King Tutīs tomb was thousands year old. The high heating and fine filtration process destroy a great parcel of the honey
nutrient values.
FOREST HONEY has a soft and natural cristalization, which can be noticed after months. We deeply suggest our consumers to leave the honey cristalized in the jar, and let it melt naturally in a hot waffle, pancake or tea. But honey can be removed from the original plastic jar, stored in a glass container and placed in hot water.
